Today is the fourth last day of the CAT 2013 testing window. Significant number of aspirants have been taking their online CAT 2013 Exam is the last few says and these last 4 days slots are expected to be jam packed. Irrespective of whether the number of test takers in a day is more or less the difficulty level of the paper is still very high.The paper that was seen today by test takers was usual tough and tricky.

4 Questions of Function of which 2-3 very tricky and difficult.
5 Questions of Geometry, Coordinate Geometry and Trigonometry.
4 Questions of Number System.
2 Questions of Quadratic Equations
1 Questions of Progressions
1 Questions of Probability
1 Question of Special Equations.
2 Question on Inequalities
3 Data Interpretation of tough nature.
16 attempts out of 30 with all correct will fetch you more than 98 percentile
20 attempts out of 30 with not more than 2 wrong will definitely fetch in excess of 99 percentile.
Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability
3 Reading Comprehension Passages of tough nature. Tone questions were present.
3 Logical Reasoning Case-lets were also present in the paper. None of them was easy. All were moderately tough.
11 Questions of Verbal Ability. (Was the only respite for test takers)
1 Question of Critical Reasoning
18 attempts out of 30 with not more than 2 wrong will definitely fetch in excess of 95 percentile.
25 attempts out of 30 with not more than 3 wrong will definitely fetch in excess of 99 percentile.

it seems that the general consensus is that today's cat 2nd section in the evening slot was insanely tough and could possibly be the contender for toughest 2nd section in cat 2013..
ReplyDeleteI have attempted 14 in 1st section (90-95% accuracy) n 13 in 2nd (80-85% accuracy). What would be my score?

ReplyDeleteHarish you have attempted 14 questions in first section and if all of them are correct you would be able to manage a percentile in the range of 95 to 98 in first section..
ReplyDeleteHowever in second section if what you are saying is right you will score percentile anywhere near 92 or 93....may be a bit less or a bit more....I can help you a bit more if you can tell me your AIMCATS AND PROCMOCK SCORES...
Well I have given some aimcats conducted by Mindworkzz.in and scores varied from 50 to 96 percentile. Other than that I have not given any aimcats or mockcats.
ReplyDeletesir,i had my cat on 17th november,evening slot.i felt toughest slot ever compared to aimcat or cl proc mock(10 aimcat and 15 cl mock).my last 3 cl proc mock score ranged 80 to 84 percentile.this was my first attempt.first section only 8 attempt,section 2-18.all with 80-85 percent accuracy(hope so).i hv ncobc reservation and mbbs background.any chance for atleast from new iims??
