SSC CGL 2013 Re Examination on 20th July 2014 Expected Cut Offs

The Re Examination of Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level 2013 of all the students other than those who had already appeared in the Re Examination in seven cities on 27th April 2014. The exam went smoothly without any glitches. One difference this time was that the original centre city of many of the candidates was now changed.

Analysis of SSC CGL 2013 Re Examination (20th July 2014)

We are going to have a look at the analysis of the difficulty level of the paper section wise.

Reasoning Section - This section maintained its difficulty level to moderate and was on the same pattern as we had usually seen in the previous years paper of Reasoning SSC CGL. Anyone with good practice of SSC Reasoning and who had properly analysed the Reasoning paper of the SSC CGL of the previous years would have fared well in this section. Any attempts around 35 questions in a time span of 25 minutes including the time of darking the bubbles would be considered good or may be very good in this section.

General Knowledge - This section was difficult for newcomers in the field of studying General Studies and was easy for all those veterans who have dedicated a large part of their preparation to General Studies(especially the lot who prepares for Civil Services). Not more than 15 minutes would have been spend in sorting out the questions we know, attempting them and move forward. Anyone who has adopted the strategy of making guesses in this section instead of attempting other sections would only have wasted his time.

Quantitative Abilities - Out of the 50 questions of this section 30 of them were easy. Anyone with fair practice in maths would have easily solved all the 30 of them and some even in the range of 35 to 45. However attempts in the range of 35 to 45 in a time span of 30 to 45 minutes including the time of darking the bubbles would be considered very good in this section.

English - This section particularly is nightmarish for Hindi Medium students always but overall speaking, the English section was easy. Anyone with fair amount of practice and in the habit of regular reading would have attempted more than 30 questions with 90 percent plus accuracy. However the easy level of this section easily sums up that there would be loads of students who would be scoring more than 45 marks in this particular section.

Estimated Cut Offs of SSC CGL 2013 Re Examination (20th July 2014)

For General Candidates - 92 to 98
For OBC Candidates - 80 to 86
For SC Candidates - 75 to 80
