Civil Services Prelims Exam 2014 to be deferred/postponed or not - UPSC

Hello friends, huge amount of speculations are brewing and crowding the market over the confusion that whether the Civil Services Preliminary Examination that is scheduled to be held on 24th August 2014 will be deferred or not. All the Civil Services aspirants are critically nervous and are in big dilemma about the status of the Exam that is to be held on 24th August 2014.

Now here is a slight idea about the status of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination that would help all the aspirants who are in line to enter Civil Services to keep there nerves calm.

The debate over the Civil Services Preliminary Examination second paper that is the CSAT paper is not new and it is existent from the time when the UPA Government was in power. Now as NDA Government is in power the issue has caught fire once again. The Hindi Medium students have special concerns with the English contents of the paper and there are many more issues with the structure of the changed pattern of UPSC in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination in which protests have occurred in the past and may occur in future also.

Now the most important question - ARE THERE CHANCES OF CIVIL SERVICES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION BEING POSTPONED OR DEFERRED ?

The answer is yes. There are high chances that the exam may be postponed. The Union Public Service Commission is not at all in favour of postponing the exam as they have already declared that postponing prelims exam will effect the whole recruitment cycle of Mains, Interview and Training of selected candidates and by issuing the admit cards they have also manifested there desire of not postponing the exam but the pressure of agitating students on the incumbent Government has high chances of changing the pattern slightly and postponing the exam for a time period of between 1 month to 2 months.

WHAT THE ASPIRANTS SHOULD DO AT THIS STAGE OF CONFUSION OVER THE STATUS OF THE EXAM -

It is very simple. If the exam is not postponed than everything goes on in the same manner and if the exam gets postponed for 1 to 2 months than also there will not be any major change in the structure and pattern of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination as the time limit of postponement is still very small. Aspirants are also afraid about the fact that pattern may be reversed to the old one where an optional subject had to be chosen for the preliminary exam, but chances of such major chances in such a short time span are very bleak as the civil services form have already been filled and no choice of optionals for preliminary exam have been asked. So guys and gals relax, hold on to your nerves and take this whole matter in a positive manner as even if the exam is postponed it will give you extra time for your preparation.
