SSC CGL 2013 TIER 2 RE-EXAM Estimated Cut Offs and Analysis

Dear Friends at last the SSC CGL Tier 2 2013 Re-exam was conducted all over India on 20th and 21st September 2014. The conduct of exam was without any glitches unlike the previous conduct of SSC CGL 2013 EXAM which was marred by allegations of widespread leakage of paper which ultimately led to its cancellation. In this blog post I will tell you in detail about the difficulty level of this paper when compared to the level of the papers of SSC CGL TIER 2 2012.

Paper 1 SSC CGL 2013 Tier 2 Reexam Analysis (Quantitative Abilities) -

The paper was lengthy and some of the questions were very tricky and some other questions demanded intense calculation. When we compare this paper to the previous SSC CGL 2013 TIER 2 paper of 2012 this paper was not very easy. The calculation in some questions was intensive and some questions demanded in depth conceptual knowledge of the topic in order to solve them. Two questions had wrong answer choices and therefore would have taken good amount of time of several candidates. If we compare this paper to the cancelled paper of SSC CGL 2013 then this paper was substantially difficult than the previous one as in the previous one the questions were less calculation intensive.

Attempts in the range of 60 to 65 can be considered to be good in the Paper 1

Attempts in the range of 65 to 75 with good efficiency can be considered to be very good in this Paper 1 and any attempts more than 75 with good accuracy will be considered as an excellent performance.

Paper 2 SSC CGL 2013 Tier 2 Reexam Analysis (English Language and Comprehension) -

The second part of SSC CGL 2013 Tier 2 Reexam was not on expected lines as many of us expected it to be very easy but it was not at all easy. The Reading Comprehension questions passages were easy but some of the questions asked were very tricky. Maintaining 100 percent efficiency while attempting comprehension questions was very difficult. Major part of the English paper was filled with Grammar questions that tested your basic knowledge of English Language. Some Para Jumbles were tricky and misleading having some very close options. Vocab part was comparatively easier than rest of the paper. 5 to 6 questions in Direct Indirect conversion were difficult and around 4 questions in Active Passive conversion were difficult.

Any attempts above 160 with decent efficiency would be considered very good in this paper.

A score in the range of 110 to 120 would be considered as an average score.
A score in the range of 125 to 140 would be considered as good.
A score in the range of 140 to 155 very good and anything above that excellent.
